Connections Through Stories :

readings from recent productions, exploring themes
of love and connection

Join us for a special evening of script-in-hand dramatic readings in collaboration with The Grace Network, part of their vibrant new programme at The Old Department Store – a beautifully restored community hub in the heart of Cirencester.

We’ll be sharing scenes from recent performances and original pieces, all centred around the theme Connections Through Stories. Each short piece will be introduced by a writer, director or performer, offering insights into the human connections behind the drama.

Expect laughter, emotion, and a few surprises, with scenes including:
🎭 One More Matinee – Two ageing dames take their final bow
💔 Dating Dilemma – Best friends… or something more?
🌿 A Midsummer Night’s Dream – Love triangles in a moonlit forest
🍻 Magic Mike Night – A hen-do at an open mic night gone hilariously wrong
🫖 The Importance of Being Earnest – A perfectly polite showdown
🎤 For the Love of Harry – Molly has plenty to say and her patient friend Judith is left little choice but to listen to her woes
🎟️ Special Measures – Locals wrestle with big changes and tripe-based tiffs at the weekly meat raffle in The Three Sheets Inn

This event will take place at The Long Table, within The Old Department Store.

Drinks and snacks are available at the venue.
